The Benefit of Remote Monitoring Units Featured

Time is money.

Cathodic protection rectifiers are installed at extensive distances from neighboring rectifiers in an impressed current system.  In the past, this would require personnel to spend prolonged traveling time between the various locations just to access the unit.

Remote monitoring units with GPS interruption capabilities save the operator a substantial amount of time. At a glance, personnel can monitor the various operating parameters of a rectifier without even opening the cabinet. The operator receives notification of operating malfunctions or failures once one occurs.

This allows personnel to respond to outages and return the rectifier to normal operating condition. An internal interrupter allows the operator to cycle the rectifier without having to visit the unit.  Satellite synchronized interruption of all units facilitates annual surveys and assists in troubleshooting a cathodic protection system.

All things considered, installing remote monitoring units with built-in interrupters pay for themselves by reducing man hours required to maintain a cathodic protection system.
