In early 2018, our team was deployed to the mid-west to support a large gas utility expansion project. Working with a world-class pipeline construction contractor, our scope of services included material procurement, installation supervision, construction management and DCVG coating quality assessment surveys for approximately 80 miles of 36-inch natural gas pipeline.
The extensive AC mitigation system included nearly 200 Dairyland solid state decouplers and 26 miles of AC mitigation cable. We installed more than a half dozen horizontal anode ground beds, 170 tons of coke breeze, 50 miles of cathodic protection cable, 15 grounding wells and more than 200 test stations of 13 types. Over the 7-month project duration, we played a key roll in the successful conclusion of a complex installation project.
